    Remembering Old Whitchurch meeting up in the Hub!  -  Tuesday, 9 November 2021  @ 2:15 pm

    • Our popular Reminiscence group meets next on 9th November 2.15pm in the Community Room at Whitchurch HubCome along and share you memories and research of the history of the village or just come to listen.Come and find out more about the 101 things you probably didn't know about Whitchurch that Nigel and Chris are putting together - see recent installments on this site or AWEN's face book page; come and find out about our time line project and Whitchurch during the Second World War.... there is a lot going on including our memory boxes



    AWEN AGM  -  Thursday, 11 November 2021  @ 7:00 pm

    • All invited to the AGM of AWEN@thelibrary.  In order to vote at this meeting please make sure that you have joined us - just £5 a year. This website will tell you how to join.   The business of the meeting which will take place in the refurbished library hub will be followed by a talk by library staff about their plans and local volunteers who host groups at the Hub - it will be an interesting evening. 



    Remembering Charles Ward VC  -  Saturday, 20 November 2021  @ 10:00 am

    • A talk about the life of Charle Ward VC Charles Burley Ward, VC (10 July 1877 – 30 December 1921) was a British Army soldier and a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces, whose grave is in St Mary's churchyard, Whitchurch.  A talk about his life.  The event is free and will take place in St Mary's Church.  All welcome.



    Christmas Sing A Long with Melingriffith Brass Band  -  Saturday, 11 December 2021  @ 3:00 pm

    • Covid regulations allowing, and full details to be confirmed, join Awen@thelibrary and Melingriffith Brass Band for a Christmas singalong. Festive songs, mince pies, non-alcoholic mulled wine and a collection for charity.  Bring a torch! Wrap up warm as we hope to be singing outside of the Hub.

      • It was everyone's favourite toy growing up and now you can let your inner child go wild with a Lego Club for adults each Thursday at 5pm at the Hub. 



      FAN Friends and Neighbours Group   -  Monday, 25 October 2021  @ 2:00 pm

      • Our FAN Friends and Neighbours group meets weekly in the community room.  If you are feeling lonely or you would like to meet more people locally come along!  If you are practising new English skills FAN is a good place to try them out.       Whitchurch Walking Group  -  Thursday, 28 October 2021  @ 10:30 am

      • A new weekly  walking group meeting at 10.30am led by Walking Friends Wales - to find out more and book your free place phone Ilona on  07566777410 or email walkingfriendswales@livingstreets.org.uk   This will be suitable for anyone who wants to join a sociable walk and get more active.  The walks start from Whitchurch Hub on Park Road.
